Welcome to our library of walks. These are all walks that we have done and enjoyed in the recent past. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
Read me 1. For each walk there is a brief description, which includes information on the length of the walk, any steep climbs etc, as well as a suggestion as to where to park. Except where otherwise shown, the walks are circular. 2. If a walk is easily accessible by public transport, this is indicated by (PT) after the title. 3. Some of the map files are large (over 2Mb), so be patient if you don't have broadband. You can enlarge or reduce the scale by clicking on the zoom buttons. For best map printouts, try saving the map file and opening it in your photo-editing software. 4. The walk is shown on the map as a thin red line, not to be confused with the thicker red lines which represent main roads. 5. It is recommended that you use a 1:25000 Ordnance Survey map in conjunction with the map from this site, to help you with navigation, and with finding the parking place from the grid reference. |
